June 2011

We are keeping busy and having a blast so far this summer!
Here are our pictures from June:

We started off June with a nice little haircut for Bryson. Nice and cool and should last awhile :)
He HATES getting a haircut.

Hands free mommy is important with two little kiddos, and this is one way I manage.
Although Brayden looks like he's screaming "HELP!" in this picture, he really does enjoy it.

Bryson started a gymnastics class to burn off some energy (but I am more worn out afterwards from chasing him everywhere) and Nana and Tristen come and watch Brayden while we are gone. Here's Tristen and Bryson watching a movie after we got back one day.

Brayden with his crazy hair- both Bryson and Brayden got stuck with my crazy hair.

He had a little too much fun at Yaya and Papo's. :)
Too bad mommy can't fit in that swing, I would pass out like that too!

This guy is always full of energy. He takes short naps during the day but he sleeps GREAT at night- I'll take that over naps any day!

He loves playing with all his toys but you can tell he's ready to get moving on his own so he can join in the fun with his big brother!

So apparently when Bryson gets bit on the ear by an ant, this is what happens.
Here he is at the doctor getting it checked out, making sure it was just an ant.
He wasn't in pain and didn't have a fever, but it looked brutal as you can see.
We called him Dumbo for obvious reasons and he could also wiggle it- so funny!

His ear has returned back to normal now. :)

Brayden laughing at Bryson's ear. jk
He loves sitting in his Bumbo chair!

He's getting more aware of his hands and reaching out for things

Bryson is starting to enjoy him too. He will show Brayden all his trains and cars, sing to him, and try to teach him colors & ABCs. These guys just melt my heart- I can't wait to see them grow up together!

Bryson had swim lessons at the beginning of June and did great! He can now jump in the pool and come back up on his own. He's getting used to the kicking and paddling as well but still needs our help. He loves to be in the pool though!
One day after lessons we all got to enjoy a Pop Ice- gotta love summer!

And Brayden is enjoying the water as well!

What a stud!

He can't do many tricks yet, but he sure is cute!

Bryson LOVES trains.
One of his favorite things to do is ride the mini-train at our local park.
He also likes to hunt down railroad tracks all over town and try to get stuck at one (he loves to see the railroad arms go up and down too)- so while most people are trying to avoid getting caught by a train, this mommy is going all over town just to get stuck at one... what we do for our children! :)

About to go for ANOTHER ride! :)

We call Brayden our little monkey because he loves to cling on to me as I do stuff.
He looks just like a little monkey!

SEAWORLD!
One of our customers gave us free tickets to SeaWorld so we took Bryson one weekend and he had so much fun!

He loves carousels

Elmo in 4D at SeaWorld
He loves Elmo but we have yet to take him to a movie theater (his attention span isn't very long) so we were interested to see how he would do. The movie was only 30 minutes long but he did great, even reaching out trying to grab the 3D stuff, until... at one part of the movie a chicken bursts out of a canon and comes flying towards you (3D) and then the seats in front of you blow air/water (4D) Needless to say we had one scared kiddo who was screaming/crying- luckily it mixed in with all the other kids laughter and he soon calmed down and watched the rest :)

Bryson loved seeing the dolphins until they were right next to him... he got a little scared so mommy got to feed and pet them instead :) Bryson makes a great dolphin impression though!

SHAMU!
We sat in the back of every show because Bryson would watch for about 5-10 minutes and then he wanted to go see something else. He gets that from his daddy!

Of course we had to stop and swim, especially since we wouldn't let him jump in with the seals, dolphins or whales.
We had a great time!

Happy boy!
He looks like Elmer Fudd in this pic :)

Bryson is also enjoying summer school.
The other day they had "water day" and his teacher sent me this pic of Bryson after he climbed onto the water table.
This kid will make a pool outta anything! :)

Resting up for the rest of summer! :)
