January 2012

Hope everyone is having a great new year! Our January was focused around our kiddos and keeping them healthy! You'll see pics in a little bit of Bryson and our adventure of getting his tonsils and adenoids out and tubes put in. Other than that, we had a great start to the year! Enjoy our January pics!

Brayden isn't quite ready to feed himself yet!

They are learning to play together, and I think its sooo adorable. I think I take a pic any and every time it happens!

Of course there are times when they aren't supposed to play together... Like Brayden's naptime when Bryson sneaks in and throws all the toys in the crib with him.

And luckily (to save time, energy & water for mommy & daddy) they don't mind taking baths together!

We decided to get Bryson's tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes put in his ears because of the repeated cases of strep and ear infections. We had total faith in God, our doctor and all the staff, but it was incredibly hard to put your child through something you knew was going to hurt them, even if it was just a week or two. We worried and worried, but everything went well and Bryson handled it better than what we expected he would. I'm not going to lie, there were a few really, really hard days, but we got through them with the help of family & friends and of course our faith in God. Bryson is a tough little boy and its so good to see him back to being a fun, active little guy!
Before the Surgery:
(He was in the BEST mood before the surgery, which made it even harder to let him go)

If you look closely you can see the tears welling up in my eyes:

Once he got his "Kiddy Cocktail" he was so lovey-dovey and relaxed!:

This is right before the nurse took him for his "Choo-Choo" ride down the hall.
That smile was killing me!!!

Back at home:
Nurse Brayden helped out with the recovery:

Brayden Travis:
(I refuse to cut his hair until after his birthday! He's still my baby!)

Have you ever seen a kid crawl like this? Brayden has done the "monkey crawl" ever since he could crawl. Its hilarious, especially when he does it in turbo speed.

Bryson does NOT like to eat. He's beyond picky. But if you put a bowl of spaghetti in front of him, it will be gone in seconds.

Bryson nicknamed his little brother "Bitten." So now we all call him either that or "Little Bit." Ryan was driving to a meeting the other day and found this street sign. I want it for his room! (If it goes missing, it wasn't me!)

The first time we put Brayden in the Jeep with Bryson, Bryson tried to fling him out of it by making a sharp turn. He's outgrown that phase and actually enjoys the company while he drives now. (Don't call CPS.. They both have safety belts on, Brayden has special padding on his side, and Ryan is usually walking/running right beside the Jeep when Brayden's in it :) )

Its with great sadness I have to report that Brayden...my baby!... is now walking despite my many attempts of pushing him down. (just a joke- again don't call CPS :) )

Kindermusik with Rishanne! Bryson loves it!

Happy new year and see you next month!
