A Fun-FILLED December!

Wow, it took me a little longer than normal to update December pictures. We have been so busy with the holidays and now we are doing a little remodeling project of our own to our bedroom and bathroom. Things have been crazy around here! But I found a moment or two today to update the blog, so here was our month of December! (And as you can tell by all the pics, it was a fun-filled, busy month!)

Christmas in Gruene:

Bryson's first experience with Santa. Can't wait to show all his girlfriends this pic when he grows up!

Big family shot- Bryson did better in mommy's lap. This is actually Cowboy Kringle who rides into Gruene on a horse every year to meet all the little ones.

Bryson with Yaya and Papo in front of Gruene Hall and the infamous Gruene water tower

Patiently waiting to see Cowboy Kringle ride into town.

Still waiting...

"Look Bryson, there he is!" ... and he couldn't care less.

Trying to get him ready to go see Cowboy Kringle but all he wanted to do was go outside.

St. Nick's Day:

St. Nick came! and brought our Christmas PJs! (yes we are one of the rare few that still celebrate St. Nick's day)

So excited to dig into his stocking

Christmas Tree Farm:
We went to this fun Christmas tree farm and had pancakes with Santa. We had lots of fun and hope to make it into a tradition.

2nd encounter with Santa... it went a lot better, but still no smile.

All bundled up!

Petting the friendly goats... the geese made him cry when they honked at him

Gingerbread House:
Daddy, being the highly skilled and experienced builder that he is, constructed our gingerbread house

Bryson got to enjoy some cookie too!

TaDa! So happy its done! Now lets eat it!

EXTRA:

Bryson playing with his toys... on top of a sleeping daddy.

Hill Country Christmas: Schlitterbahn

We loved Hill Country Christmas this year... they made a lot of improvements since first opening last year and hopefully will continue to do so because we had so much fun going.

"Say what Yaya?"

Yaya and Bryson in front of one of the light shows

Bryson wanted to dance to all the music playing

This is Bryson screaming with excitement when the light show started. He was swinging his arms up and down too, it was soooo cute!

Bryson riding the carousel with Yaya and Papo

Walking through the trail of lights.... he loved leaning back and looking up at all the pretty lights.

Christmas Cookies:

There may have been some flour thrown

but we all still love each other!

My cousins and sister came over to help bake all the Christmas cookies. We had lots of fun :)

Taking a break- Yaya and Memaw came to see all the progress

Some of our beautiful cookies!

Baking all day wore him out

EXTRA:

Just had to show everyone why he loves laundry day

Christmas Morning at our house:

Family shot in our matching Christmas PJs!

I thought he would need to grow into this, but he loves jumping his trampoline! (with adult supervision of course)

Looking at all his gifts under the tree. I think he has been a pretty good boy for the 8 months of his life.

Christmas at Nana and Pop's :
Nana and Mamaw with Bryson

So spoiled!

Cousin Tristen pushing Bryson around in his new wagon

Family shot in front of the tree

Family shot outside

Christmas at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's:

The holidays made him so worn out with all the running around we did.

Best shot we could get all together

Trying to eat Grandma's gingerbread house

Christmas at Yaya & Papo's:

Memaw and Bryson

Forget all the other gifts... its Elmo!!!

Now he has a friend to stand at the window with :)

Aunt April and Bryson

There was actually 3 other Christmas get togethers that we went to but being the first time mommy that I am, I forgot to take my camera to those. But I think its pretty obvious we are well loved and Bryson is plenty spoiled!

EXTRA:

Taking his new wagon for a cruise

Well we made it through December (and 2009) and even though it was crazy and hectic, we loved it! We are so very blessed for all our family and friends and the ability to do all the fun stuff that we did. We are especially blessed with our loveable son, Bryson who made our Christmas all the more special this year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and here's to an even better year with 2010!

Love the Christmas PJ family pic! Christmastime is so much fun with a little one in tow. Oh, and we celebrate St. Nick, too!
